Happy Easter from readilearn 2020 – #readilearn

Wishing you hope and joy

The situation for us at Easter this year is very different from any we’ve experienced before and, hopefully, are unlikely to experience again. Wherever you are, I hope you are able to find some joy in the traditional Easter message of hope.

I have uploaded three new resources this week to add to the readilearn Easter collection. As my Easter gift to you, I have made these three new resources available free until the end of April. Many other free resources are also available in the collection. Please enjoy!

I’m curious if more families will take advantage of the readilearn materials since most children are probably learning from home now. Schools in my state (California) closed for the school year, which traditionally ends around mid-June. Happy Easter, Norah!

The virus has thrown us into new territories, Pete. Are the schools over there closed or are they teaching online? At the moment, schools are closed here but lessons are being delivered online. Well, we’re actually on our two-week mid-semester break and I’m not sure what will be in place when the new term begins. Teachers are expecting to deliver lessons online, but children of emergency workers and providers of essential services will be able to attend school. I don’t quite know how it will work. I would love it if readilearn resources could ease people’s workload and anxiety a bit.
Happy Easter to you and your family too.

Most schools in my area are delivering online materials, but I also see schools where families drive-buy and pick up packets once a week. Some schools still make lunches each day that the family can pick up too. In my county, there have been fifty cases of the coronavirus. We’re encouraged because there haven’t been any new cases for the past three days. We’ve been social distancing for three weeks now.

I think it’s wonderful that schools are still making lunches for kids that need them, and still supporting children’s learning. I think it’s tough all round though – for children, parents and teachers.
Are any of your contacts affected by the virus? I hope the numbers in your county and country start to decrease soon.
