And the results of #1 Carrot Ranch Flash Fiction Contest are in. Congratulations to the winners, honourable mentions and all who entered. Read the winning entries in the Carrot Ranch post and follow the link to read all entries. What a fabulous read!
What a wonderful contest with judges who actually comment on the winning entries and offer advice. That is awesome! Now I understand why you are so excited about the Carrot Ranch Flash Fiction. (Sorry I missed some posts, but have been gone for two weeks)

So much hard work–by entrants and judges. I’m impressed. I love the term ‘a catch up’.

I thought writing to the prompt was difficult, but I think judging the entries was probably even more difficult. ‘a catch up’ with a tortoise is an interesting expression, isn’t it? Thanks for reading and commenting, Jacqui.

They did, didn’t they? Such a tough decision to make, but Sarah was clearly the winner to scoop first and second!

The contest sounds great and I’m glad the Carrot Ranch Community is going strong.
I haven’t written much flash fiction since before the summer hols. There’s been too much going on in life and work, not bad, just busy and demanding times.
I hope to get back in the swing of writing flash fiction soon!

It’s good to hear from you, Luccia. I’m pleased your absence was simply busy-ness. Life can get that way at times. I hope it’s settled down now and that you can get back to more writing soon.
